Our Principles
These are the standards Insert Space and everyone who works with us hold ourselves to, and the ones we ask of the partners we work with.
Our people
Equality and inclusion
We treat everyone fairly, including on every characteristic protected by the Equality Act 2010, and on background, caring responsibilities and working pattern.
We recruit associates and partners openly, on skills and experience.
We actively support better representation of women in technology and AI.
We support flexible working, so people can work in the way that suits them best.
Fair pay
Everyone who works with us, directly or through a supplier, is paid at least the real Living Wage, the independent rate based on what it actually costs to live.
Equal pay for equal work, whoever does it.
Associates are paid a fair rate for their expertise, agreed in writing before work starts.
Any work beyond the agreed scope is agreed in advance and paid.
Our clients and their people
Confidentiality
Individual survey responses are never shared, and results from smaller teams are combined with others so no individual can be identified.
We handle personal data in line with UK data protection law. Our privacy policy explains how.
Accessibility
Our surveys are written in plain English and work across standard devices, such as phones, desktop computers and tablets.
We provide alternative formats on request, and strive to ensure everyone in a company can take part.
How we use AI ourselves
We use AI tools in our own work, and we are open about it.
Every finding and recommendation is reviewed and signed off by a person.
We only use approved tools, and never put identifiable client or employee data into tools that use it to train their models.
Independence and honesty
We don't sell AI tools or software.
Where we receive a referral fee from a partner, we say so, and it never influences what we recommend.
Every statistic we publish carries its source and date.
If we're not the right fit for a business, we'll say so.
Our partners and suppliers
We aim to pay suppliers and partners within 30 days.
We only introduce partners we have vetted, and we expect them to meet the same standards on pay, equality, data protection and paying on time.
We have zero tolerance of modern slavery, bribery and corruption, in our own business and in those we work with.
Our wider impact
We help clients weigh environmental impact alongside cost, risk and value when choosing AI tools and suppliers, including favouring providers that publish their energy and water use.
Environmental responsibility is part of how we assess responsible AI use, within the Responsible Use & Governance pillar of SpaceFrame™.
In our own work, we choose the most efficient tool that does the job well, rather than the largest model by default.
We work remotely by default to keep travel low.
Raising a concern
If you think we have fallen short of any of these commitments, please tell us at hello@insertspace.co.uk. We will reply within five working days.
We review these commitments regularly and at least once a year.
