Cookie policy

1. About this policy

This cookie policy explains how Insert Space Ltd ("Insert Space", "we", "us" or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on insertspace.co.uk. It should be read together with our Privacy policy, which explains how we use personal information more generally.

2. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies, such as local storage, work in a comparable way. They allow a website to function, remember your choices and understand how it is used.

Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR), we may only use cookies that are not strictly necessary with your consent. Strictly necessary cookies are set without consent because the website cannot function properly without them.

Cookies set by our website are first-party cookies. Cookies set by another organisation's service that we use on our website are third-party cookies.

3. The cookies we use

We use two categories of cookies.

Strictly necessary. These keep the website secure and record your cookie choices. They are always on.

  • __hs_cookie_cat_pref (HubSpot): records which categories of cookies you have accepted. Expires after 6 months.

  • __hs_opt_out (HubSpot): records that you have declined non-essential cookies, so we do not ask again. Expires after 6 months.

  • __hs_initial_opt_in (HubSpot): prevents the cookie banner reappearing on every page. Expires after 7 days.

  • __hs_do_not_track (HubSpot): stops HubSpot's tracking code sending information, where you have opted out. Expires after 6 months.

  • __cf_bm (Cloudflare, on behalf of HubSpot): protects our forms from automated bots. Expires after 30 minutes.

  • __cfuvid, __cfruid (Cloudflare, on behalf of HubSpot): manage traffic to our forms. Expire at the end of your session.

Analytics and marketing. These help us understand how visitors find and use our website, and connect your visits with the details you give us if you later fill in a form or book a meeting. They are only set if you accept them.

  • __hstc (HubSpot): records your visits to our website, including when they happened. Expires after 6 months.

  • hubspotutk (HubSpot): recognises your browser, and links your visits to your contact record if you submit a form. Expires after 6 months.

  • __hssc (HubSpot): tracks the current visit. Expires after 30 minutes.

  • __hssrc (HubSpot): detects when you have restarted your browser. Expires at the end of your session.

HubSpot may also use your browser's local storage (__hmpl and hublytics_events_53) to hold information about your visit briefly before it is sent. These are only used for analytics if you accept analytics and marketing cookies.

We do not use advertising cookies and we do not allow third parties to track you on our website for their own purposes. Our website is hosted by Framer; we do not use Framer to set any cookies that are not strictly necessary.

4. Managing your choices

When you first visit our website, a banner asks whether you accept analytics and marketing cookies. You can accept all, reject all or choose by category. Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and no analytics or marketing cookies are set until you accept them.

You can change your choice at any time by contacting us at hello@insertspace.co.uk, or by clearing the cookies for our site in your browser settings.. If you withdraw consent, we stop setting those cookies from that point.

You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of our website, such as our forms, may not work properly.

5. Changes to this policy

We will update this policy whenever we change the cookies we use. The current version will always be published on this page, with the date it was last updated.

6. Contact us

Questions about this policy should be sent to hello@insertspace.co.uk. For more on how we use personal information and your rights, see our Privacy policy.
